The Sex Pistols Were Inducted - Whether They Liked It Or Not.

Despite the fact that they were very vocal about denouncing the honor, the Sex Pistols were still honored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday.

It's a bit of a shame, really, that they seem to refuse to acknowledge that the music world wants to pay tribute to them, and that they (righfully) deserve a spot in the Hall of Fame, alongs with The Ramones and The Clash, who've already made it in.

At times, the band has stated it to be a matter of principle. At times it's been a matter of finance. Either way, the band was inducted even if they weren't there to accept the award.

Because they weren't there to accept, Rolling Stone magazine founder Jann Wenner accepted in their stead. He read the venomous letter they penned in response to the honor, and invited the band to pick up their trophies at the rock hall in Cleveland.

I hope he doesn't hold his breath waiting for them to show up.
