St. Patrick's Day is a Great Day for Celtic Punk!

Thursday March 16, 2006

St. Patrick's Day is tomorrow, and I'll be making my way down to Detroit's Gaelic League to celebrate!

Depending on where you are, you might be so lucky as to be attending one of the great Celtic Punk shows going on tomorrow. Flogging Molly will be in Mesa, Arizona. The Dropkick Murphys will be in the middle of their legendary St. Patrick's Weekend Festival in their hometown of Boston. Most importantly, punk rock legends the Pogues, with Shane MacGowan, are in the middle of four sold-out nights in Times Square.

If, like me, you're not in the area of the shows, or don't have tickets to any of these great performances, why not pick up some Celtic Punk and play it loud in honor of this great holiday?

Erin go braugh!
