Interview With JD Wilkes of Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers

Friday June 9, 2006

As I mentioned before, Pandelirium, the latest by Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers, is simply one of the best new albums out right now. Its blend of bluegrass, blues, punk and bunches of other sounds from bunches of other influences is good, eerie fun.

I connected with frontman JD Wilkes via email while the band was touring Europe. In this brief interview, he discusses the influences and background behind the Southern Gothic sound of Th' Legendary Shack*Shakers, and why, no matter what you may think, their music is definitely not evil. Check out the interview.
