An Interview With Billy Crooked of The Vacancies

Tuesday August 1, 2006

With their fast aggressive sound, the Cleveland-based punk band The Vacancies are tearing it up and getting attention. Their latest release, A Beat Missing Or A Silence Added, out now on Blackheart Records, is a blend of old school punk and stripped down rock that never gets old.

The Vacancies are currently on the road with the Street Dogs and the legendary punk band the Adolescents. I managed to connect with Vacancies frontman Billy Crooked while they were on the road. We briefly discussed the album, working with Joan Jett, and which portion of his anatomy is the reason behind the "Crooked" moniker.

Check out the full interview with Billy Crooked of The Vacancies.

Check out the band's Website for tour dates.
