Roger Miret And The Disasters - My Riot

Wednesday August 30, 2006

The frontman for Agnostic Front is back with his other band.

Roger Miret And The Disasters' latest album, My Riot, is a nostalgic bit of punk rock from a man who is a legend in hardcore music. It's nothing like Agnostic Front, though. My Riot is pure street punk, sounding like a combination of the Clash, Dropkick Murphys and Rancid.

It's the kind of album that could be cliche or overdone, if Dave Miret hadn't been here all along. He gives the album honesty and credibility that comes accross from the moment you press play. Instead, rather than My Riot being a simple rehash, this baby is the hash.
