MP3 Band Of The Week - Valeze

OK, I realize I have been lax at posting an "MP3 Band of the Week" every week as of late, so I guess I am faced with two options. I can either let the feature quietly slide into obscurity, or I can bring it back with a great song from a really great band.

Guess which one I chose?

This is Valeze, a sweet sounding group from Brooklyn that mixes new wave with dirty rock and roll. Picture Missing Persons, Blondie and Berlin mixed up in a plastic bag with a few handfuls of road gravel and you're on the right track. It's music that would be equally suited for dancing at clubs or cranked in your car, so make sure you take a listen.

Their latest ep, Go Go Go! is available here, but in order to entice you just a bit, they're letting you download the first single, also titled "Go Go Go!" for free. It's got a driving beat and some great hooks and it currently occupies a high rotation on my iPod. I suggest you download it right now.
