The Germs make an impression on LA's RockWalk
In an event that somewhat unsurprisingly took place in conjunction with the release of the Darby Crash biopic, What We Do Is Secret, the remaining original members of the Germs were honored by an invitiation to put their impression on LA's famous RockWalk.
Pat Smears, Lorna Doom and Don Bolles left their impressions in the cement outside of the famous Guitar Center on Sunset Boulevard, but like their band’s antics that got them banned from clubs and helped them gain notoriety, they didn’t take it entirely seriously. Pat Smear placed his hand in the cement while he was holding a lit cigarette, and Don Bolles opted to place a lobster claw in the cement rather than his hand, and followed up with smearing concrete over his face.
It’s nice to know that, even as time goes on and the old schoolers grow old, they never really grow up.
