I was sitting down to post the review for Plan 9’s latest release, Manmade Monster, when I got a rather upsetting email. Plan 9 vocalist Aaron Fuller died early Tuesday morning from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Aaron Fuller was one of the original members of Plan 9, and he was known for his vocal range, as well as his dead-on ability to sound like Misfits-era Glen Danzig. With Plan 9, the band started what was initially intended to be a one-shot Misfits tribute band, and instead ended up being the second coming of the Misfits (even more so than the actual second coming of the Misfits).
Fuller's family has stated that they "want Plan 9 to continue because that is what Aaron would want." The band has not yet commented.
We’d like to extend our condolences to Fuller’s family, friends and bandmates.
And it’s rather sadly that I present you with this review of Manmade Monster by Plan 9. The punk music scene has experienced a big loss.
