Check out some new performances from the old school this week during Punk Week on The Late Late Show

Monday October 27, 2008

Generally, I’m not one for late night talk shows in general; I’m more of an Adult Swim kind of guy when it comes to my late-night television fare. But, if anything could get me to switch channels, it would be something like the musical lineup that Late Late Show host Craig Ferguson has put together for his Punk Rock Week.

Ferguson is no stranger to punk rock; he got his start in entertainment in Scotland, playing drums in the Glasgow-based band The Bastards from Hell. When it came time to putting together some old school punk bands for this week’s Late Late Show, he made some good calls:

The Late Late Show Punk Rock Week Lineup

  • Tuesday, 10-28 – X
  • Wednesday, 10-29 – New York Dolls
  • Thursday, 10-30 – The Damned
  • Friday, 10-31 – The Damned

I like the fact that he has the Damned two nights in a row; that way, should you have plans for Halloween, you’re not going to miss them. Then again, if you want to stick with Adult Swim, these all might be a good reason to fire up the old TiVo.
