Rise Against Announces Dates for Their Summer Tour with Rancid

While the 2009 Vans Warped Tour is probably your most-anticipated show for this summer, a close second would have to be Rise Against’s summer tour, when they hit the road with punk legends Rancid in tow.

The band released the full set of dates for this summer’s tour today, as well as more information on the tour’s opener. I have to say that those who will be catching the bands on their June dates are in for a slightly better show than the July dates, as the roster will be rounded out by the Riverboat Gamblers in June, and Billy Talent in July.

This is nothing against Billy Talent; I caught them at the Warped Tour several years ago, and their live set is impressive. It’s just that the Riverboat Gamblers really excel live, and I’m glad that they’ll have an opportunity to expose a much larger audience to their live madness this year.
