Rise Against post "Whereabouts Unknown" Webisode from Detroit
Rise Against have been long known for being a politically and socially conscious band by way of their lyrics, but it’s also good to see that they’re not afraid to get their hands dirty when the time comes to dig in and get some work done to help out the less fortunate – in my town no less.
Rise Against have posted a short video on MySpace showing just this. This is what frontman Tim McIlrath has to say about it in his own words:
Last time we were in Detroit with the Alkaline Trio we hooked up with a soup kitchen and helped prepare and serve meals to members of the local community. We put together a video of the experience spliced with footage of Joe on the set of the “Audience Of One” video.
It’s something to think about: if the big names are willing to come to our communities and do their part to help make them better, we should keep an eye out for what we can do to help our own communities out as well.
The video is here.
They're currently on tour with Rancid. The remaining dates are listed here.
