The founding member of the garage-bands The Compulsive Gamblers and The Oblivans, Memphis-based Jack Oblivian has also had a hand in more garage punk outfits than you could shake a whole handful of sticks at. That is, if you were inclined to shake sticks at them, because odds are you'd be too busy shaking your other various danceable body parts to his raw style combining punk, rock, blues, country and just about anything dirty and southern.
His latest solo album, Rat City, is no exception. Due out on September 13, this is a record that's going to make the world a little more deliciously dirty.
