Pussy Riot are back at it. The band and feminist collective that most recently grabbed headlines for the unsanctioned performance in Moscow's Red Square that lead to their arrests have staged another protest performance, this time inside Christ the Savior Cathedral.
It's been reported that four members played at set that lasted less than five minutes, including the song "Holy Shit", before their performance was halted. It's also being reported that the musicians could be charged with the cool sounding charge of hooliganism, which carries the not so cool penalty of up to seven year in prison, should they be convicted.
One conservative youth leader told The Moscow Times that the group is just trying to attract attention, which kind of seems the point of a political collective with an agenda, while religious leaders are defending the group's right to speak.
Odds are, we'll continue to here more and more from Pussy Riot, as this is a punk powerhouse with a message and the means to make it known.
