Yesterday, the folks at the Vans Warped Tour announced six more names for the 2012 Vans Warped Tour. Like last year, the plan is to announce more bands each week through April, until the whole lineup is revealed.
This week's additions continue to be pretty ho-hum, save one:
Ten Second Epic
Justina
The Jukebox Romantics
Cold Forty Three
The Darlings
We Are The Ocean
Seriously, much of the tour announced thus far has been pretty mediocre. I can only hope that there are some really big names planned for these last few announcements. As of yet, the truly good number of performers is pretty small.
This week, though, I will say the exciting addition is New York's Jukebox Romantics. It's good to see another truly punk addition to the tour, especially one that also reaches for the occasional ska reference. The band's live shows are energetic and fun, propelled by their great sound that draws reference from influences that range from the Clash to the Bouncing Souls. It's good to see them tapped for the tour this summer.
