We're gearing up for the official announcement of the first bands on the lineup for the 2013 Vans Warped Tour, but there are a few that we know about already.
British metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon looks to be on the tour, after comments made by Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman to Kerrang! magazine, but the true first band that has been most likely announced is California pop punk band Forever Came Falling. Lyman announced that the band would be joining the tour after the played at a screening of the Vans Warped Tour documentary No Room For Rockstars.
If you've seen the documentary, you'll know that Forever Came Falling is the real deal. The hardest working band in the documentary, they weren't even on the tour! They were following the tour in a leaky van, selling CDs to the kids in line and collecting signatures. They are DIY, and the sort of band the Warped Tour was created for.
If you haven't watched No Room For Rockstars, you should really check it out. It paints a clear picture of what goes into the tour, as well as doing a good job presenting all the disparate energies that come together to make the tour a reality each year.
