I've found that since our relocation to the 'Dam, I've spent a lot of time listening to old-school two-tone ska and rocksteady. It's not that surprising; the skinhead scene is pervasive in Europe, spreading from the UK into parts all over.
What is surprising is that my favorite band that embraces the old school sound is relatively knew, and hails from Chicago, a city better know for blues, rock, and really a lot of sounds that aren't old school ska. It's Deal's Gone Bad.
