Live Photos

While covering concerts for this site, I work with a very talented photographer who takes many more photos than are typically used in a review. Check out some of these galleries of your favorite bands live on stage!

Two Weeks of Celtic Punk Rock
As we wind our way toward St. Patrick's Day, we have the photos from two weeks worth of Celtic and Irish punk rock.

Vans Warped Tour Photos
It's a summer ritual, a rite of passage, and just a really great way to spend a day. Every year, busloads of punk bands make their way across the country, spreading noise, chaos and joy wherever they go. Here are some of our favorite Warped Memories, captured on film.

The 2006 Van's Warped Tour
As emo and pop punk music has started to take over the Warped Tour, the Casualties are one of the last of a handful of true hardcore punk bands still on the tour. Check out Nicole Lucas' exclusive photos from the Detroit stop on the tour.

The Squirrel Nut Zippers Live
No matter where you're at, nothing evokes a hot southern night like a swinging set from NC's Squirrel Nut Zippers.

Tiger Army Live, St. Andrew's Hall, Detroit
Despite the fact that we were only able to get 20 minutes of the band's set, we were treated to 20 minutes of high energy psychobilly from one of the hottest bands on Hellcat's roster right now.

Valient Thorr and the Riverboat Gamblers
The 2007 Volcom Tour featured two of the most dynamic frontmen in punk rock today, fronting two of the most energetic bands - Mike Wiebe with the Riverboat Gamblers and Valient Himself with Valient Thorr. Any night one is fortunate enough to see either of these guys perform live is going to be a good night. Both in one night is the kind of stuff rock and roll is made of.

Photos from the Charlotte NC Warped Tour
As another Warped Tour wraps up and takes summer away with it, photographer Brendon Sharpe brings us this series of photo highlights from the Charlotte, NC date.

The Shout It Loud Tour 2007
With a lineup that competed with the Warped Tour for exciting live performances, 2007's Shout It Loud Tour brought Reel Big Fish and Less Than Jake to the same stage for some fun, energetic dance-worthy punk rock and ska.

Less Than Jake Live
Less Than Jake is another Warped Tour band of veterans. I've seen them here more times than I can remember, but their sets are always fun and full of positive energy. This year, they came out on stage wearing matching "Team Fat Ass" T-shirts, and their set was made up of old and new songs mixed with goofy banter and juvenile humor not fit for print. It was all about music, dancing and fun.

The 2006 Van's Warped Tour
I knew Anti-Flag's set was going to be politically-charged. What I didn't expect was how much energy they would display in the heat, or how much they could get the crowd going. They are one of the closest things that the punk scene has to the great protest singers of the Vietnam era, and if anyone can get the kids politically active, it will be these guys, high kicks and all.

The Living End Live
The notorious punk and rockabilly band from Ausralia, The Living End has been going strong fro well over a decade, and they just continue to get tighter as a band. Check out these exclusive photos by Nicole Lucas from the 2006 Van's Warped Tour.
