If I had to choose the one album I have been anticipating the most this year, it would be Super Taranta!, the latest album from Gypsy punk rockers Gogol Bordello. Ever since I first heard Gypsy Punks Underdog World Strike, I have been a devoted fan of frontman Eugene Hutz and his band of musicians from all over the world.

There is some great news surrounding the release of Super Taranta!. First of all, for a sneak preview of two of their new songs, you can go to the band’s Myspace site. Go ahead and go there now to give them a listen. It’s OK; I’ll wait until you get back to continue…

Back? Aren’t those songs great? You totally want the album, don’t you? Well, it’s not out for a few weeks yet, but if you preorder the album, you can get some cool freebies. Also, Gogol Bordello will be touring extensively, like they always do. They’ll be in the Eastern half of the U.S. for the month of July, then they’re off overseas for a bit, hitting the Western side of the U.S. at the end of August. Stay tuned to their MySpace site to see when they’re coming to your town, and go see them. Gogol Bordello’s live show is high energy and insane, and these guys are definitely one band that not only should you make a point to see live, but should make a point to see them live every chance you get.
