Never Shout Never, Bring Me The Horizon and 3OH!3 among the latest Warped Tour additions

By February 12, 2013

Follow me on:

This weekend, seven bands were added to the lineup of the 2013 Vans Warped Tour this week, in an announcement that shows the names are continuing to get bigger and bigger.

The new additions are:

Never Shout Never (Full Tour)
August Burns Red (Full Tour)
Black Veil Brides (Full Tour)
Bring Me The Horizon (6/19-8/4)
Crizzly (Full Tour)
3OH!3 (6/30-7/14)
Bowling For Soup (8/2-4)

While Bring Me The Horizon is no surprise, based on some comments made earlier by Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman, people in some locations are going to be bummed. Back in November, he told Kerrang! magazine that "Bring Me The Horizon's going to be out with us all next summer," when the part about all summer looks to be an exaggeration.

And the addition of 3OH!3 continues the tour's commitment to new and varied sounds. I interviewed Sean Foreman of 3OH!3 back in 2009, and even then we discussed the new and varied sounds coming to the tour. He said:

It's definitely changing, and for the Warped Tour purist, it might be a little weird and shocking, but I think it's important to keep change in mind, especially in music. Even if you don't always like the new stuff, I think it's important to hear it.

This is the ninth announcement so far, out of what will be a total of 15 that will ultimately create the soundtrack for a very Warped Summer.

We'll be keeping tabs on all the official announcements, as well as the rumors, on our listing of the lineup for the 2013 Vans Warped Tour.
